A Microsoft PowerPoint presentation covering the major issues addressed in Population and the Environment is included on the CD-ROM. You may show the presentation using the PowerPoint 97 Viewer utility, or you may modify the presentation to suit your particular needs if you have the full version of PowerPoint 97. (The PowerPoint Viewer is a program used to run slide shows on computers that don't have the full version of PowerPoint installed.)
Follow these steps to install PowerPoint Viewer and the PowerPoint presentation to the hard drive on your computer:
1. From the Windows Start menu select Run
2. Click Browse and locate the ePopulation Reports CD-ROM
3. Double-click on the Rest folder
4. Double-click on the Resources folder
5. Double-click on PNGSETUP.EXE
6. Select a folder on your computer to which the PowerPoint Viewer and presentation should be copied. (Note: the folder cannot have a name with more than eight characters.)
7. Click OK on the message that PowerPoint Viewer will not run on Windows 3.1.
To run the slide show, double-click the PowerPoint Viewer (Ppview32) and then click the presentation you want to run (ENVIRO.PPT).
